Privacy Policy
iiKone ('us', 'we', or 'our') operates iikone.com (the 'Service'). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Service. We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Service.
1. Information Collection and Use
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ('Personal Data').
1.1 Personal Data
Personally identifiable information includes, but is not limited to: email address, first and last name, phone number, company/organization name, job title, tax identification number, profile avatar URL, and hashed credentials (stored using bcrypt).
1.2 Usage Data & Device Telemetry
We automatically collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service ('Usage Data'). This includes IP addresses, browser type/version, pages visited, time spent, diagnostic logs (pino), and error telemetry (Sentry).
2. How We Use Your Information
iiKone uses the collected data for the following essential purposes:
To provide, maintain, and secure our Service;
To notify you about changes, security updates, and service announcements;
To facilitate interactive features such as Event Check-in, B2B Deal Rooms, and Chat;
To process organization member invitations and KYB business verification;
To provide responsive customer support and resolve technical inquiries;
To monitor system performance, detect fraud, and prevent security incidents.
3. Disclosure of Data & Third-Party Sharing
We respect your privacy and DO NOT sell your personal data to advertisers. We disclose Personal Data only in the following specific circumstances:
3.1 Sharing with Event Hosts
When you register for an event, your registration profile (name, email, company, job title, form responses) is shared with the specific Event Host for event operations, badge printing, and check-in.
3.2 Service Providers & Cloud Hosting
We employ trusted third-party service providers to facilitate infrastructure operations, including: Google OAuth (authentication), MinIO/S3 (media storage), Pino/Sentry (logging & crash reporting), and payment gateway partners.
3.3 Legal Obligations
We may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court order or government agency).
3.4 Bot and Abuse Prevention
Our sign-up and account-recovery forms are protected by reCAPTCHA v3, a service provided by Google. When you submit one of these forms, Google receives your IP address, browser and device information, and interaction data in order to judge whether the request is automated. This use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We receive only a score and never the underlying signals, and we do not store the score against your account.
4. AI & Data Commitment
We explicitly affirm that user personal data, corporate profiles, KYB documents, and B2B Deal Room communications will NEVER be used to train generalized or non-personalized public AI and/or Machine Learning (ML) models without your explicit opt-in consent.
We do not sell or transfer your data to third-party AI tools for generalized model training purposes.
5. Log Data and Telemetry
Our servers record standard log data including IP addresses, HTTP request headers, user agent strings, and timestamps. This data is used solely for system administration, debugging, and detecting unauthorized access.
Separately from that log data, we record the network address a registration was submitted from and keep it on the account or application record. We use it to limit how many accounts may be created from one network within 24 hours and to investigate abuse. It is readable by our platform administrators only, and is never shown to you, to an event host, or to an organization.
6. Cookies and Session Management
We use cookies and secure HTTP-only tokens to maintain authenticated sessions (such as JWT tokens and OAuth redirect state). You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may limit your ability to use certain authenticated features of the Service.
7. Security of Data
The security of your data is paramount. We enforce commercial security standards including TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, role-based access control (RBAC), and database firewalls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Data Retention Policy
We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, comply with statutory accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce legal agreements.
The network address a registration was submitted from is deleted 90 days after the registration, whether or not the account or application still exists. Closing an account neither shortens nor extends that period, because the address is kept to investigate abuse rather than as part of your account.
9. Your Data Protection Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, you have rights to access, update, rectify, or request deletion of your Personal Data.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@iikone.com.
10. Contact Us
